1) What is Nihongo Roleplay?

Nihongo Roleplay is an AI-powered Japanese speaking practice app. You roleplay real-life scenarios, get instant feedback on mistakes, and review weak points using Review Cards.

2) How do roleplays work?

  1. Choose a scene (or create your own).
  2. Speak or type your Japanese.
  3. The AI responds and keeps the conversation going.
  4. After the roleplay, you’ll receive feedback and Review Cards to help you improve.

3) What kinds of scenes are available?

We offer a variety of everyday scenarios (e.g., restaurants, travel, shopping, casual conversation). You can also create your own custom scene based on what you want to practice.

4) What is “Daily Roleplay”?

Daily Roleplay is a new roleplay prompt each day to help you build a habit. It’s a quick way to practice consistently without choosing a scene.

5) What kind of feedback do I get?

You’ll see feedback on incorrect or unnatural expressions, suggestions for more natural alternatives, and notes to help you understand the correction.

6) What are Review Cards?

Review Cards help you quickly revisit phrases you struggled with. Use them for short, focused practice sessions anytime.

7) The AI gave a strange or incorrect response. What should I do?

AI can sometimes make mistakes. If something looks wrong:

  • Try rephrasing in simpler Japanese.
  • Continue the roleplay using the correct phrase.
  • If it’s consistently incorrect or inappropriate, email us with details so we can improve.

8) My microphone isn’t working. How do I fix it?

  • Go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone and allow access for Nihongo Roleplay.
  • Close the app completely and reopen it.
  • Check that your device isn’t connected to a Bluetooth device that’s taking audio input.
    If it still doesn’t work, contact us with your device model and iOS version.

9) I can’t hear audio / voice playback.

  • Make sure your device isn’t on silent (if applicable) and your volume is up.
  • Check Bluetooth output (AirPods, speaker, car audio).
  • Restart the app.
    If the issue continues, email us with details.

10) How do I cancel a subscription?

Subscriptions are managed by Apple:

  • Open Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions
  • Select Nihongo Roleplay
  • Tap Cancel Subscription
    You can still use your subscription until the end of the current billing period.

11) I subscribed but features are still locked.

Try:

  • Reopen the app.
  • Ensure you’re signed in to the same Apple ID used to purchase.
  • Tap Restore Purchases (if available in the app).
    If it still doesn’t restore, email us and include a screenshot of your subscription status screen.

12) Can I delete my data?

If the app includes a data deletion option, use it in the app settings.
Otherwise, you can request deletion by emailing s-rank-property@outlook.com and including any identifiers shown in the app (if applicable). We’ll guide you through the process.
